Our Commitment

Villa Sauvage is a private home, and every guest who stays here should feel genuinely welcome. We are committed to making both this website and the property itself as usable as we reasonably can, and to being honest and specific about what the home offers.

This Website

This site was built with accessibility in mind rather than added on afterward. It is designed to meet the spirit of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. In practice that means:

• Every page can be navigated by keyboard alone, with a visible focus indicator on each link, button, and form field.
• All photography carries descriptive alternative text for screen readers.
• Text and background colors were chosen to hold clear contrast.
• Pages use proper heading structure and semantic landmarks so assistive technology can move through them logically.
• Motion on the site, including the handwriting and the drifting photography, is disabled automatically for visitors whose device requests reduced motion.
• The site is fully responsive and works at any screen size or zoom level.

Our booking calendar is provided by Hostaway, and the reservation and payment steps take place on their platform. We do not control that software, though we have chosen it in part for its usability. If you have trouble completing a booking for any reason, contact us and we will take your reservation personally.

The Property

Villa Sauvage is a two-story custom home with a pool, spa, private dock, and an upper balcony. Access varies from space to space, and the honest answer is that some areas involve stairs.

Rather than publish a general claim, we would rather answer your specific question directly. Before booking, tell us what you need. We will describe the entry, the layout, the bathrooms, the pool deck, and the dock accurately so you can decide whether the home suits your group. We would far rather have that conversation in advance than have a guest arrive to a surprise.

Ongoing Work

Accessibility is not a box we check once. We review this site as we add content, and we welcome being told when something does not work. If you encounter a barrier here, that is useful information and we want to hear it.
